Inclusive Tech

Description of Initiative:

New America’s Inclusive Tech initiative focuses on the intersection between two timely issues in education: the need to pivot toward more effective online resources and digital technology, and the need for inclusive instructional materials and teaching strategies that support underserved students. We convene roundtables and learning communities to network and share best practices and we spotlight promising practices that connect students and educators to culturally responsive and open educational resources in formal and informal settings. How is your initiative seeking to build digital environments that foster children’s well-being?

n addition to focusing on developing policy recommendations focused on educational equity, we bring media developers and designers together with researchers and educators to share and learn. The aim is to ensure that digital technologies match follow the science of learning and meet the needs -of children from populations and groups that have been historically neglected, marginalized, or discriminated against.
